Using Free Hypnosis Scripts
You can get free hypnosis scripts at many hypnosis sites on the web.
Since you're going to be addressing your mind directly, do your due diligence and check that the scripts are good quality and produced by a reputable hypnotist. If they're not, find another site or spend a few dollars on a professionally written script.
Once you've found a free hypnosis script that you think will be good for you, it's time to read it thoroughly. As I said in the previous paragraph, you need to be absolutely certain that the information and instructions you're giving your subconscious mind is good for it.
Your subconscious mind is very good at following direct instructions but nowhere near as good at determining whether those instructions are any good for you. If you bite your nails or pull your hair, that's your subconscious following an instruction that it thinks is what you want. You may think differently but until you can find a way to reprogram your subconscious, that's what will happen.
So take the time to make sure you aren't telling yourself to do something you'll later regret.
Read the hypnosis script out loud. You'll notice inconsistencies and incongruities better that way.
If you want, add line breaks and sets of dots like these ... to remind you when to pause.
Some people put extra instructions in brackets in the script but I find it breaks my concentration and I tend to read out the things I shouldn't read out. Not a major issue, it just adds time to the editing process and I find it easier not to have that kind of distraction in the scripts I record.
When you come to do the recording, make sure you're somewhere that will be as quiet as possible. Sure, you can hit "pause" on your audio program when an ambulance passes by or your dog barks. But you want to minimize the chance of these spoiling your recording as much as you can.
Warn your family that you're recording.
Turn your cell phone off or to silent.
Then start your masterpiece!
Once your free hypnosis script is recorded, remember to save it somewhere safe on your computer, with a file name that you'll recognize. Burn it to CD as well so you've got a backup copy.
Then add a backing track if you want to. Ambient music is good for this or you may prefer some nature sounds (you can get these cheap on eBay nowadays).
Finally, your free hypnosis script should be ready to listen to. Put on your headphones, sit back and listen to it. Enjoy!
